“If you’ll not settle for anything less than your best, you will be amazed at what you can accomplish in your lives.” – Merry Riana. I’m a big fan of her.
Last month I have this challenge of making an Irish lace scarf for my friend’s wedding gift. I’m not sure if I ever mention on my blog before, but I have never – ever – make any crocheted scarf before, because I thought it will be so boring, crocheting the same pattern all over until you got at least 1,5 meters long. On the search of this project, Ary and I fell in love with one lacy scarf and decided to make it. Right after I opened up the pattern, I was like, what? It’s an Irish lace pattern, I never knew about it before.
The flowers and other little accessories are gorgeous, need a little more time to understand how to make. But it’s worth it. However I need more and more practice on joining the parts, it’s not as easy as it looks.
I found a really helping video on youtube, and got amazed with what Ira Rott made. She also have a website that you can order a custom made of anything crosses your mind, just name it. She’s the master.
Here’s the scarf.. let me know how you think
And more on the details
